After a successful career as a writer for a Fortune 50 corporation, Dawn decided to pursue a more fulfilling career. Because her personality is one of a nurturer and care-giver, she wanted a job that she could feel good about and feel like she makes a difference, so she chose to become an esthetician. While she attained the majority of her education and her license in North Carolina, she also received additional specialized training in Richmond, Virginia.

Dawn lives in North Wilksboro with her husband, Lance, and their two children, Savannah, born in 2004, and Carter, born in 2006.
